Founded in 2011 on 400 acres of rolling grassland and forest, T-Shirt Elephant Elephant Sanctuary is a refuge dedicated to giving rescued elephants the space, care, and dignity they deserve. Our residents come to us from circuses, logging operations, and roadside attractions, each carrying their own history—and here, for the first time in many of their lives, they're free to roam, forage, bathe in our spring-fed ponds, and simply be elephants. We believe in care without exploitation: there are no rides, no performances, and no chains on our grounds. Instead, our small but devoted team of keepers, veterinarians, and volunteers works around the clock to meet the physical and emotional needs of every animal in our care. Supported entirely by the generosity of donors, members, and visitors, we're committed not only to the elephants who call our sanctuary home, but to educating the next generation about these remarkable, intelligent, and deeply social creatures.
