Hi there!
My name is Cory Hagen, and I’m the proud owner and founder of Glengarry My Home.
I was born and raised in South Glengarry, having spent most of my childhood and teenage years in Green Valley and Summerstown. I graduated from Char-Lan District High School before pursuing my Business Administration diploma at St. Lawrence College.
After spending a few years living in Cornwall, I eventually convinced my wife that it was time to move back to the country. Ideally, somewhere in Glengarry, of course! Thankfully, she was just as excited about the idea, and we found ourselves a little two-acre property in South Glengarry.
Looking back, it was one of the best decisions we ever made.
But the story of Glengarry My Home actually began quite a few years earlier.
It all started back in 2014.
I was just 18 years old, studying at Acadia University in Nova Scotia, and to put it simply, I was incredibly homesick.
Being away from home gave me a whole new appreciation for the place I grew up. I missed the people, the familiar faces, the traditions, and that unmistakable sense of community that makes Glengarry so special.
I wanted to create something that would keep me connected to home, even when I was hundreds of kilometres away. But more than that, I wanted to find a way to give something back to the community that had given me so much.
So, I started playing around with a few designs, and eventually came up with what would become our classic Glengarry My Home thistle design.
The design has gone through a few changes since 2014, but the heart and mission behind it have never changed.

From the very beginning, I wanted Glengarry My Home to be about more than just clothing.
With every purchase, a portion of the proceeds goes directly back to local not-for-profit organizations throughout Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry.
To date, thanks to your incredible support, we've contributed over $3,500 to local community groups and organizations.
We've also donated hoodies, t-shirts, and crewnecks to silent auctions, community fundraisers, and other local initiatives that help make a difference.
And that's something I'm incredibly proud of.
Glengarry holds a very special place in my heart. It's difficult to put into words what makes this corner of Ontario so unique, but I think anyone who has called Glengarry home understands.
It's the people. The culture. The history. The traditions. The familiar faces you see at community events, the friendships that last a lifetime, and the pride we all share in where we come from.
There's just something about Glengarry.
I wanted to create something that celebrates all of that. Something that people could wear proudly, whether they've lived here their entire lives, moved away but still call Glengarry home, or have simply fallen in love with our little corner of the world.
And if we can give back to our community along the way, well, that makes it even more special.
So, here we are. More than a decade later.
What started as a homesick 18-year-old's little idea has grown into something that continues to bring me an incredible amount of joy and fulfillment.
