The 10 business day clock starts after you approve the digital proof — not when you place the order. Artwork Requirements

For the fastest turnaround, provide print-ready artwork in vector format (AI, EPS, SVG, or PDF). Vector files eliminate the need for artwork redrawing and allow production to begin immediately after proof approval. Proper care extends the life of your custom lightweight jackets and preserves the quality of embroidery, screen printing, and DTF decoration. Most lightweight jackets are made from nylon, polyester, or nylon-polyester blends — fabrics that are inherently durable but require specific care to maintain their appearance and performance.

Washing Instructions

Machine wash your custom lightweight jackets in cold water on a gentle or delicate cycle. Cold water prevents shrinkage, protects fabric coatings (such as water-resistant DWR treatments), and preserves the vibrancy of dyed fabrics. Turn jackets inside out before washing to protect embroidered logos and printed designs from abrasion against other garments in the load.

Detergent and Additives

Use a mild liquid detergent — avoid powder detergents that can leave residue in fabric weaves. Never use bleach or fabric softener on nylon or polyester jackets. Bleach degrades synthetic fibres and damages decoration. Fabric softener coats fibres and reduces the moisture-wicking and water-resistant properties that make lightweight jackets functional.

Drying

Air dry your custom lightweight jackets by hanging them on a clothesline or laying them flat. If you must use a dryer, use the lowest heat setting and remove the jacket promptly when the cycle ends. High heat can cause nylon to melt, polyester to shrink, and heat-applied decorations (DTF transfers, screen prints) to crack, peel, or warp. Embroidered jackets are more heat-tolerant but still benefit from air drying.

Ironing and Pressing

Never iron directly over embroidery, screen printing, or DTF transfers. Heat and pressure from an iron can melt threads, distort prints, and damage decorations permanently. If you need to remove wrinkles, iron the jacket inside out on a low heat setting, avoiding all decorated areas. A garment steamer is a safer alternative for removing wrinkles from custom lightweight jackets.

Storage

Store lightweight jackets on hangers in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight. Prolonged sun exposure fades both fabric colour and decoration. For packable jackets, use the built-in stuff pocket for compact storage — but avoid leaving them compressed for extended periods, as this can create permanent creases. Folding and storing flat in a drawer is ideal for long-term seasonal storage.

Stain Removal

Treat stains promptly by blotting (not rubbing) with a damp cloth and mild detergent. For stubborn stains on undecorated areas, a gentle spot treatment with diluted dish soap works well on nylon and polyester. Always test any cleaning solution on an inconspicuous area first. Avoid harsh chemical solvents that can damage both the fabric and decoration.
