I had a short time line for shirts to be made and shipped across the country. T Shirt elephant did not disappoint even got the shirts to me early !! so beyond impressed with this company
Excellent screen printing quality, and excellent selection of high quality garments. Love that I can order just 1 item instead of a large minimum order most custom garment companies require.
I've ordered a number of custom t-shirts from T-Shirt Elephant and have always been pleased with the results. The design software is easy to use, and the selection of colours and fabrics is endless. Turn-around time is short, normally just a few days before my products are in my hands. Recommended!

Easy to use website, quality product and effective service and delivery
The process of creating my custom hoodie for my partner was easy and clear on T-shirt elephants site. This was my first time making and ordering anything custom and they made it super easy. I chose them for that reason, and they are Canadian. No weird tax cross border stuff. my order even shipped earlier than was estimated which was awesome as it was a present. I highly recommend them.

Everything You Need to Know About Printed Heat Transfers in Canada
Printed in Toronto, shipped across Canada
A printed heat transfer is your full-colour artwork printed onto white heat-transfer vinyl, contour cut around the design and weeded, then supplied on a carrier sheet ready to press onto a garment. You get the finished graphic without the garment, to press yourself or to have us press.
How ours are made
The design prints on printable heat-transfer vinyl in our Toronto facility, a contour cutter follows the outline, excess vinyl is weeded away by hand, and a clear application carrier is applied so the transfer lifts as one piece.
Three vinyls
Standard is thin, soft and flexible, for full fronts and photos. Puff rises when pressed for a raised, padded look. Silicone has a smooth, rubbery, slightly dimensional feel and stretches with sportswear.
Printed versus cut vinyl versus DTF
Printed transfers carry full colour and gradients. Cut vinyl transfers are one solid colour cut from a specialty roll. DTF gang sheets print many designs on a film sold by the inch. Each has a place; this page is the printed one.
All three print the same full-colour artwork; the vinyl changes the hand and the look.
Standard
Thin, soft, matte white transfer vinyl that follows the fabric. The everyday choice for logos, photos, gradients and full-front designs on cotton, polyester and blends. See standard printed transfers.
Puff
Rises when heat is applied for a raised, padded finish. Bold shapes and lettering show it best; fine detail softens as it puffs. See puff printed transfers.
Silicone
A smooth, rubbery surface with a soft dimensional feel that stretches with the fabric, which suits sportswear and uniforms. See silicone printed transfers.
Each has its own page with a photo, press guidance and a live price ladder.
Transfers run from 1 inch up to 19.5 inches on the longest side, in any proportion.
Common sizes
3 to 4 inches for chest logos and sleeve hits. 6 to 8 inches for youth fronts and back-neck art. 10 to 12 inches for standard adult fronts and backs. Up to 19.5 inches for oversized backs.
Placement
Each order ships with press settings. A left-chest logo sits about 3 inches below the collar seam and centred on the chest side; a full front centres about 3 inches below the collar.
Details
Keep text above roughly 8 points on standard vinyl and bolder on puff. Avoid hairlines and long thin spikes; the cutter can follow them but they weed and press poorly. The studio flags anything too fine.
Transfers are priced per piece by finished area and quantity, in Canadian dollars, with no setup fee and no colour charge. Puff and silicone carry a small per-square-inch premium over standard.
Today's ladder
Here is the live price per transfer for standard vinyl at 10 by 10 inches:
| Quantity | Price per piece at 10 × 10 in | Order total |
|---|---|---|
| 10+ | $19.65 CAD | $196.50 for 10 |
| 25+ | $15.35 CAD | $383.75 for 25 |
| 50+ | $13.20 CAD | $660.00 for 50 |
| 100+ | $10.40 CAD | $1,040.00 for 100 |
| 250+ | $9.00 CAD | $2,250.00 for 250 |
| 500+ | $8.10 CAD | $4,050.00 for 500 |
| 1,000+ | $7.45 CAD | $7,450.00 for 1,000 |
| 2,500+ | $6.85 CAD | $17,125.00 for 2,500 |
| 5,000+ | $6.40 CAD | $32,000.00 for 5,000 |

Reading the ladder
Each row is a quantity break. The studio shows the ladder for your exact size, so a team order can see where the next break pays for itself.
Pressed by us
If you would rather receive finished garments, order through our heat transfer service and we price the garment and the application together.
Printed transfers suit anyone with a heat press and a reason to print on demand.
Small decorators and shops
Order finished full-colour transfers instead of printing them, and press onto garments as orders come in. No printer, no ink, no weeding.
Teams and leagues
A crest for every jersey and a sponsor logo for every sleeve, pressed by the team or by us.
Brands and merch
Stock transfers of your logo and press onto whatever blank sells this month.
Schools and events
Spirit-wear transfers for a press day, or finished shirts from our team; either way, one account and one box with the stickers and buttons.
Every order ships with the temperature, time, pressure and peel for its vinyl. The pattern is the same for all three.
Prepare
Pre-press the garment for a few seconds to remove moisture and wrinkles. Position the transfer with the carrier up.
Press
Press at the temperature and time on the instruction card, with medium pressure, using a heat press rather than an iron for even heat.
Peel
Standard and silicone peel hot; puff peels cold after it rises. The card says which.
Fabrics
Cotton, polyester and blends all work. For heat-sensitive or coated fabrics, test one first or ask us to press them.
Printed transfers take the same files as our stickers and reward the same care.
Files
PNG with a transparent background, SVG or PDF for the cleanest cut line. JPG works with the background remover.
Resolution
A full-front transfer is large; upload the biggest file you have and the studio checks it against the size.
Cut-friendly shapes
Avoid hairlines, tiny islands and long spikes. A contour cut with a slight margin around lettering presses more reliably than a tight cut around each letter.
White in the design
The vinyl is white, so white areas of your art print as the vinyl itself and stay bright on any garment colour.
All three vinyls carry full colour on a white base, so the design prints as it looks on any garment colour.
Standard
A soft matte finish that sits close to the fabric.
Puff
Raised and slightly rounded after pressing; colours stay bright and edges soften a little.
Silicone
Smooth with a gentle sheen and a soft dimensional feel.
Brand colours
Colours reproduce closely; an exact swatch-book match is not promised. The studio preview is the best guide.
Pressed correctly, printed transfers wash with the garment for many cycles.
Washing
Turn inside out, wash cold, tumble low or hang to dry. Skip bleach and fabric softener, and never iron over the print.
What to expect
With that care, standard, puff and silicone transfers hold up for dozens of washes. Very hot dryers and direct ironing are what shorten the life.
Before wearing
Wait a day after pressing before the first wash.
We sell all three, so here is a straight comparison.
Printed transfers
Full colour and gradients on a soft white vinyl, contour cut. Best for logos with several colours, photos and full fronts.
Cut vinyl transfers
One solid colour cut from a specialty roll: glitter, puff, flock, metallic, reflective, glow. Best for lettering, numbers and single-colour logos with a texture. See cut vinyl heat transfers.
DTF gang sheets
Many designs printed on one film sold by the inch, with a soft hand and no cutting. Best for filling a sheet with mixed small graphics. See DTF gang sheets.
Transfer pricing falls at every quantity break, and the studio shows the whole ladder for your size.
Mixed orders
Several designs and sizes in one cart, each priced on its own quantity.
Reorders
Saved designs stay on your account for a reorder in a new size or vinyl.
Very large runs
Past the top break, ask for a quote.
