Everything You Need to Know About Custom Glitter Stickers in Canada
Printed in Toronto, shipped across Canada
A glitter sticker is your design printed in full colour on a film with a fine, even sparkle sealed into it. The glitter is under the ink, so it never sheds, and it shows through wherever the art is light or open. Bold, simple art on glitter reads as colour with a shimmer; open backgrounds read as pure sparkle.
How ours are made
The film prints on our wide-format printer in Toronto and is contour cut to your shape. The studio previews the sparkle under your art.
Sizes and pricing
Any shape from 1 to 23.5 inches, priced by finished area and quantity with a small film premium over white vinyl. See all twelve materials on the die-cut stickers page.
Glitter has texture, and texture softens detail.
What works
Bold lettering, simple shapes, thick outlines and open backgrounds where the sparkle shows.
What to avoid
Hairlines, tiny text and photographic detail; the flake breaks them up. Keep text above roughly 10 points on glitter.
Colour
Saturated colours print as a shimmering version of themselves; pastels read as tinted sparkle; white in the file prints as bare glitter.
Glitter is the softest of the effect films.
Glitter
An even, fine sparkle, like flake in nail polish. Warm and playful.
Holographic
A rainbow that sweeps across the sticker as it moves. See holographic stickers.
Prismatic
Sharp mirror facets that flash individually. The loudest of the three.
Choosing
Glitter for planners, kids, weddings and cute merch; holographic for the widest appeal; prismatic for maximum flash.
Glitter is the sticker people buy for delight.
Creators
Glitter versions of a best-selling character, sticker packs, planner sheets.
Parties and weddings
Favour seals, name stickers, envelope seals, birthday packs.
Schools and kids
Reward stickers, spirit stickers, water-bottle stickers.
Retail
Seasonal and gift-set stickers that catch the eye on a shelf.
Glitter stickers are priced per piece by finished area and quantity, in Canadian dollars, with no setup fee. Glitter film carries a small per-square-inch premium over white vinyl, shown live in the studio. Shape, colour count and border style make no difference.
Today's ladder
Here is the live price per piece for a glitter sticker at the size most people order:
| Quantity | Price per piece at 3 × 3 in | Order total |
|---|---|---|
| 10+ | $2.74 CAD | $27.40 for 10 |
| 25+ | $2.74 CAD | $68.50 for 25 |
| 50+ | $2.16 CAD | $108.00 for 50 |
| 100+ | $1.46 CAD | $146.00 for 100 |
| 250+ | $1.04 CAD | $260.00 for 250 |
| 500+ | $0.74 CAD | $370.00 for 500 |
| 1,000+ | $0.60 CAD | $600.00 for 1,000 |
| 2,500+ | $0.49 CAD | $1,225.00 for 2,500 |
| 5,000+ | $0.42 CAD | $2,100.00 for 5,000 |
Live prices from our studio for the material shown; other sizes and materials price as you design. Prices in Canadian dollars.
Reading the ladder
Each row is a quantity break. The studio shows the same ladder for your exact size, so you can see whether the next break costs less in total than the run you planned. It often does.
Larger runs
Past the top break, or for a mix of sizes and materials, ask for a quote. Business accounts see the same live grid online.
Glitter film is printed vinyl with two honest limits.
Indoors
Best on laptops, bottles, planners, packaging and gifts. Sun and weather dull the effect sooner than they dull white vinyl.
Texture
The surface has a light texture; it wipes clean but shows scuffs more than gloss.
Water
Water-resistant once set; hand washing is fine, dishwashers are not.
One inch to 23.5 inches, any shape.
Best sizes
One and a half to four inches: big enough for the sparkle to read, small enough to feel like a treat.
Borders
A bare-glitter border shows the effect on every sticker; a white border prints as ink. The studio previews both.
Sticker pricing rewards volume because the setup is the same for ten pieces and a thousand.
Quantity breaks
The ladder in the studio shows the price per sticker at every break for your size. Stepping up a break often costs little more in total and leaves stock for the next event.
Mixed orders
Add as many designs, sizes and materials as you like to one cart; each line prices on its own quantity.
Reorders
Saved designs stay on your account. Reorder in a new quantity or on a new material with no artwork to send again.
Very large runs
Past the top break, ask for a quote. We price large and recurring runs by hand and can set up business invoicing.
Upload a transparent PNG, SVG or PDF as for any sticker.
Go bold
Thicken thin lines and enlarge small text before uploading; the flake softens detail.
White in the file
White prints as bare glitter, which is often the point.
Glitter also comes as a kiss-cut sheet, from 4 by 6 up to 12 by 18 inches, with as many designs as fit.
Why sheets
Planner sets, reward sheets, character sets and party packs price as one item per page.
Order both
A glitter sheet of the set and a die-cut single of the hero design from the same files. See glitter sticker sheets.
Glitter stickers are printed and cut in our North York, Toronto facility on our own wide-format printers and contour cutters, by the team that has printed custom apparel for Canadians since 2012.
One order, one box
Because the stickers are made where the shirts are, an order of glitter stickers, buttons, magnets and tees is one order with one proof set and one tracking number.
Canadian pricing
Prices are in Canadian dollars; there is no duty, brokerage or exchange fee because nothing crosses a border.
Checked against your proof
Every run is checked against the preview you approved in the studio before it is packed. If a file needs attention, we email you before printing.
Glitter stickers ship flat in rigid mailers or boxes from Toronto to every province and territory.
Cost
Shipping is free on orders over $250 before tax. Below that, carrier options and rates appear at checkout.
Taxes
GST or HST is added at checkout by province. There is no duty or brokerage.
Tracking
You receive a tracking number by email when the order ships, and your account shows its status at any time.
Combined orders
Glitter stickers ship with any apparel, magnets, buttons or transfers on the same order, so an event kit arrives together.
The well-known sticker sites do a good job, and it is fair to say where we differ on glitter stickers.
Materials
Twelve die-cut materials and seven sheet materials, against the three or four most sites list, all priced live for your exact size.
Canadian pricing and shipping
CAD prices, Toronto production, no duty or brokerage. Sites that quote in CAD still ship across a border.
Everything on one order
Stickers, sheets, magnets, buttons, posters, transfers and printed apparel share one cart and one delivery.
The studio
You see the finished piece, the cut line and the exact price for your size and quantity before you add to cart.
Where the big sites win is very large runs of one product. Past our top break, ask for a quote and compare like for like.
Glitter sells in retail and gift contexts.
Gift packaging
Seals and tags for holiday and gift-set packaging.
Retail
"New", "gift idea" and seasonal shelf stickers.
Bundles
Order a glitter special beside the everyday white-vinyl run from the same file, in one cart with the tees and buttons.
Sticker vinyl is a plastic film with an adhesive layer, and it is fair to say so plainly.
What it is
Glitter stickers are a flake-filled PVC film with a permanent adhesive on a paper backing.
Disposal
Vinyl stickers are not recyclable in household programs. Backing paper often is, depending on your municipality.
Less waste in production
Pieces are nested tightly on the roll to use less material, and every order prints to the quantity you order rather than to a stock run. Ordering what you will use is the biggest saving, and small runs are easy in the studio.
Winter: holiday gift seals and sticker-sheet sets. Spring: wedding favours and market packs. Summer: kids camp and water-bottle stickers. Fall: back-to-school reward sheets and Halloween packs.
Ordering takes a few minutes and you always see the price first.
1. Start on the material
Pick glitter from the cards above, or holographic and prismatic beside it.
2. Upload and size
Upload your art or build it from text and shapes. Set the size; the studio traces the cut line and shows the price ladder for that size.
3. Choose the border and quantity
Pick a white border, a tight cut or none, and set the quantity where the ladder makes sense for you.
4. Approve and check out
Check the preview, add to cart and check out in Canadian dollars alongside any apparel. You receive tracking when the order ships, and the design stays saved for reorders. Questions at any stage: contact our team. See all die-cut stickers.
