Everything You Need to Know About Custom Window Clings in Canada
Printed in Toronto, shipped across Canada
A window cling is a printed vinyl with no adhesive at all. A smooth static face holds it to clean glass, and it peels off and goes back on as often as you like, leaving nothing behind. It is the material for storefront hours, sales, seasonal windows, event notices and anything you will want to change next month.
Two versions
White cling has a white face and prints like a white sticker, so every colour shows at full strength. Clear cling shows the glass through unprinted areas, so bold, dark art suits it.
How ours are made
Printed on our wide-format printer in Toronto and cut to any shape from 1 to 23.5 inches. See the range on the die-cut stickers page.
The face decides what the customer sees.
White cling
Opaque. Every colour prints as designed, and the cling blocks the view behind it. Best for hours, notices, sale panels and logos with light colours.
Clear cling
Transparent where there is no ink. Our process prints no white underlayer, so light colours look translucent and white in the file prints as nothing. Best for bold, dark logos and lettering that should float on the glass.
Inside or outside
Both apply inside the glass facing out, protected from weather, or outside for short-term use.
Cling is the storefront's reusable sign.
Hours and contact
A white cling with hours, phone and website on the door, swapped when hours change.
Sales and promotions
Seasonal sale panels that go up Friday and come down Monday.
Payment and policy
Accepted cards, delivery apps, mask or pet policies, loyalty programs.
Events
Pop-up, opening and event notices for venues, offices and schools.
Both go on glass; the adhesive decides the job.
Choose cling when
You will move it, replace it or reuse it: seasonal, promotional, temporary.
Choose an adhesive sticker when
It should stay for years, sit outside in weather, or go on a non-glass surface. See clear stickers and removable vinyl.
Larger windows
Cling runs to 23.5 inches; for full-window graphics, ask for a quote.
Window clings are priced per piece by finished area and quantity, in Canadian dollars, with no setup fee. White and clear cling carry a small per-square-inch premium over white vinyl. Shape, colour count and border style make no difference.
Today's ladder
Here is the live price per piece for a white window cling at a common size:
| Quantity | Price per piece at 3 × 3 in | Order total |
|---|---|---|
| 10+ | $2.60 CAD | $26.00 for 10 |
| 25+ | $2.11 CAD | $52.75 for 25 |
| 50+ | $1.66 CAD | $83.00 for 50 |
| 100+ | $1.12 CAD | $112.00 for 100 |
| 250+ | $0.80 CAD | $200.00 for 250 |
| 500+ | $0.57 CAD | $285.00 for 500 |
| 1,000+ | $0.46 CAD | $460.00 for 1,000 |
| 2,500+ | $0.38 CAD | $950.00 for 2,500 |
| 5,000+ | $0.32 CAD | $1,600.00 for 5,000 |
Live prices from our studio for the material shown; other sizes and materials price as you design. Prices in Canadian dollars.
Reading the ladder
Each row is a quantity break. The studio shows the same ladder for your exact size, so you can see whether the next break costs less in total than the run you planned. It often does.
Larger runs
Past the top break, or for a mix of sizes and materials, ask for a quote. Business accounts see the same live grid online.
Cling lives a long time on the inside of a window.
Reuse
Peel, store flat on its backing sheet, and reapply. Keep the static face clean.
Sun
Inside the glass the print holds well through a season of sun; outside, expect shorter life.
Cold
Static holds through Canadian winters on the inside of the glass; condensation can loosen it, so wipe and reapply.
One inch to 23.5 inches, any shape.
Door panels
8 by 10 to 12 by 18 for hours and notices at eye level.
Sale panels
18 by 24 and larger runs; order several per window.
Logo decals
4 to 8 inch clear clings that float on the glass.
Sticker pricing rewards volume because the setup is the same for ten pieces and a thousand.
Quantity breaks
The ladder in the studio shows the price per cling at every break for your size. Stepping up a break often costs little more in total and leaves stock for the next event.
Mixed orders
Add as many designs, sizes and materials as you like to one cart; each line prices on its own quantity.
Reorders
Saved designs stay on your account. Reorder in a new quantity or on a new material with no artwork to send again.
Very large runs
Past the top break, ask for a quote. We price large and recurring runs by hand and can set up business invoicing.
Clean the glass. Lightly mist the glass with water, place the cling, and squeegee from the centre out to push out water and air. The water lets you reposition; static takes over as it dries. Apply inside the glass facing out for the longest life.
Upload a PNG, SVG or PDF. For hours and notices, use bold type and strong contrast; a line of text read from the sidewalk wants letters about 1 inch tall. For clear cling, avoid white and pastel elements; for inside-facing-out use, the studio can mirror the design so it reads correctly through the glass.
Window clings are printed and cut in our North York, Toronto facility on our own wide-format printers and contour cutters, by the team that has printed custom apparel for Canadians since 2012.
One order, one box
Because the stickers are made where the shirts are, an order of window clings, buttons, magnets and tees is one order with one proof set and one tracking number.
Canadian pricing
Prices are in Canadian dollars; there is no duty, brokerage or exchange fee because nothing crosses a border.
Checked against your proof
Every run is checked against the preview you approved in the studio before it is packed. If a file needs attention, we email you before printing.
Window clings ship flat in rigid mailers or boxes from Toronto to every province and territory.
Cost
Shipping is free on orders over $250 before tax. Below that, carrier options and rates appear at checkout.
Taxes
GST or HST is added at checkout by province. There is no duty or brokerage.
Tracking
You receive a tracking number by email when the order ships, and your account shows its status at any time.
Combined orders
Window clings ship with any apparel, magnets, buttons or transfers on the same order, so an event kit arrives together.
The well-known sticker sites do a good job, and it is fair to say where we differ on window clings.
Materials
Twelve die-cut materials and seven sheet materials, against the three or four most sites list, all priced live for your exact size.
Canadian pricing and shipping
CAD prices, Toronto production, no duty or brokerage. Sites that quote in CAD still ship across a border.
Everything on one order
Stickers, sheets, magnets, buttons, posters, transfers and printed apparel share one cart and one delivery.
The studio
You see the finished piece, the cut line and the exact price for your size and quantity before you add to cart.
Where the big sites win is very large runs of one product. Past our top break, ask for a quote and compare like for like.
Chains and franchises order identical cling sets per location: hours, promotions and payment panels, shipped to one address or several. Saved designs reorder for the next campaign, and standing orders and invoicing are a quote away.
Sticker vinyl is a plastic film with an adhesive layer, and it is fair to say so plainly.
What it is
Window clings are a static PVC film with no adhesive, on a protective backing sheet.
Disposal
Vinyl stickers are not recyclable in household programs. Backing paper often is, depending on your municipality.
Less waste in production
Pieces are nested tightly on the roll to use less material, and every order prints to the quantity you order rather than to a stock run. Ordering what you will use is the biggest saving, and small runs are easy in the studio.
January: new-hours and new-year sale panels. Spring: patio-open and seasonal menu clings. Summer: festival and event notices. Fall: back-to-school and holiday-hours panels. December: holiday windows, gift-card and last-order-date clings.
Ordering takes a few minutes and you always see the price first.
1. Start on the material
Pick white cling for hours and notices, or clear cling for logos that float on the glass.
2. Upload and size
Upload your art or build it from text and shapes. Set the size; the studio traces the cut line and shows the price ladder for that size.
3. Choose the border and quantity
Pick a white border, a tight cut or none, and set the quantity where the ladder makes sense for you.
4. Approve and check out
Check the preview, add to cart and check out in Canadian dollars alongside any apparel. You receive tracking when the order ships, and the design stays saved for reorders. Questions at any stage: contact our team. See all die-cut stickers.
